Twins (also known as Twins Special) have been an established and reputable Muay Thai brand since the 90s. There’s a reason their boxing gloves are still some of the most widely used gloves in the world after more than 30 years. If you’re in the market for a pair of Muay Thai gloves, you absolutely cannot go wrong with Twins.

Twins gloves are built to last. They are constructed from high quality materials, undergo strict quality control and each pair is handmade in Thailand. They are quite literally engineered to take a beating, and therefore will endure years of blood, sweat and tears.

The BGVL3 gloves are the original classic style gloves from Twins. Over the years Twins have released a number of variations of this and additional styles, such as the BGVL6 Deluxe Sparring gloves which offer a longer and firmer wrist with additional support on the back of the hand. If you’re unsure what style to go for, get in touch or ask your coach for advice. Otherwise, the BGVL3 gloves are a solid choice.

Glove Sizing 📏

For a comprehensive guide on glove sizing see our guide on glove sizes. Generally gloves are available in sizes 10oz, 12oz, 14oz and 16oz.

If this is your first pair, you will probably want to opt for 14oz or 16oz gloves. These offer enough padding for some light sparring and technical work with a partner, and you’ll still be able to hit the bag or pads. You should ask your coach to be sure.

Physically, Twins gloves tend to be slightly larger than those from other brands (E.G. Fairtex).
